Can I be nominated or vote without a membership?

Unfortunately, you will not be granted submission or voting rights without a annual Hyer Merit Association membership. We offer two types of membership. If you'd like to be considered for The HMAS, you will need the $129 for as a one-time fee. For more details, please see membership page for more information or the terms & conditions for further details.

Can I vote for myself as a nominee?

Yes.

How many times can I vote for a person/company?

Accepted Answer

Each member/person will be granted the opportunity to vote "once" per category.

If I do not sign up for a membership, can I still nominate someone?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately, we cannot allow anyone to nominate someone without a membership. We do this because we want to track inputs and follow all media that will be required if we accept the nomination.

If I am a nominee, do I still need a membership to nominate & vote for others?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All participants need a membership to vote and nominate for/others.

Question 6

If I win in my category/categories but I am unable to attend the show to receive the award(s), how do I obtain them?

Accepted Answer

The committee will accept them on your behalf and ship them to you. It is important that you provide us with the correct shipping address for future reference.

Question 7

If I'm a nominee and I was unaware of my nomination (someone nominating me), do I need a membership to accept the award if I win?

Accepted Answer

Yes. This will serve as your inclusion of the association. We cannot give the award to non-members.

Question 8

If I don't want to buy a membership or vote/nominate but I just want to attend the show, can I do that?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Please wait for tickets to go live. You will have to purchase tickets at full price. For updates on tickets, we'd recommend signing up for the basic (free) membership whereas our newsletter will alert you. But it is not required.
