Can I vote without a membership?

Unfortunately, you will not be granted without a membership under the Hyer Merit Association. Please see membership page for more information.

Can I vote for myself as a nominee?

Yes.

How many times can I vote for a person/company?

Each member/person will be granted the opportunity to vote "once" per category.

If I do not sign up for a membership, can I still nominate someone?

Unfortunately, we cannot allow anyone to nominate someone without a membership. We do this because we want to track inputs and follow all media that will be required if we accept the nomination.

If I am a nominee, do I still need a membership to nominate & vote for others?

Yes. All participants need a membership to vote and nominate for/others.

If I win in my category/categories but I am unable to attend the show to receive the award(s), how do I obtain them?

The committee will accept them on your behalf and ship them to you. It is important that you provide us with the correct shipping address for future reference.

If I'm a nominee and I was unaware of my nomination (someone nominating me), do I need a membership to accept the award if I win?

Yes. This will serve as your inclusion of the association. We cannot give the award to non-members.

If I don't want to buy a membership or vote/nominate but I just want to attend the show, can I do that?

Yes. Please wait for tickets to go live. You will have to purchase tickets at full price. For updates on tickets, we'd recommend signing up for the basic (free) membership whereas our newsletter will alert you. But it is not required.

How can I get nominated?

To get nominated, you must elect yourself or someone must submit your name and contact information to the association. It helps if you or that person/them send us your material for evaluation; winning chances increase with submitted material.

If I'm nominated for multiple awards, will I get multiple awards?

Yes.

If I'm unable to attend but win in my category/categories, what happens?

If you win but you're not in attendance, the presenter will accept the award on your behalf and the association will reach out to you with accommodations and next steps.

Do nominees have to pay the entry fee on the day of the show?

Individuals who are nominated should at least have the basic (free) membership package to receive the discounted entry fee. Your payment will serve as an "association due" that all members have to pay. It is recommended that individuals who are nominated upgrade to the HYER VIP or HYER VIP+ where all fees are waived annually for all of our events. Payment to the association is tax deductible.

Do nominees have to pay for food?

Individuals who are nominated with the basic (free) membership package will not be permitted to eat at the ceremony. You must be a HYER VIP or HYER VIP+ member to receive food, beverages, extended happy hour(s), bts perks, free merchandise, etc... Please visit "become a member" page for more information.
